Prof. Jian Liu from Bioinspired Interface Technologies for Energy Applications Research Center came to visit for communication

On January 13th, Prof.  Jian Liu came to the group for academic communication. Professor Liu has joined the QIBEBT since June 2022. He is now the group leader of Bioinspired CO2 Conversion group from Bioinspired Interface Technologies for Energy Applications Research Center. His main research interest includes enzyme-like catalytic materials, bioinspired CO2 conversion and superhydrophilic/superaerophobic interface construction.

The seminar was held in room 205 of the administrative building and was chaired by researcher Li Fuli. At the meeting, professor Liu first gave a talk entitled "From H2 to NADH: Bioinspired catalysis and artificial biocatalysis". During the talk he introduced the corresponding study about how to realize H2-driven or light-driven NAD(P)H regeneration by analogy to metalloenzymes and also introduced the application of superhydrophilic/superaerophobic interface in enrichment and conversion of insoluble gas substrates.

After the talk, professor Liu and the MME group members had an in-depth discussion on the cooperative project “H2-driven CO2 by Inorganic-biological hybrid system”. (Provided by Xiaoqing Ma)
