  • Research profile:He utilizes lignocellulose and syngas as raw materials to produce bioenergy such as ethanol and butanol through anaerobic fermentation of Clostridium. Based on the established molecular genetic operation and fermentation platform of Clostridium, the mechanisms of energy metabolism and acid&alcohol metabolism of Clostridium beijerinckii, Clostridium acetobutylicum, Clostridium cellulovorans, and Clostridium ljungdahlii are analyzed. Furthermore, he focuses on the designs of molecular engineering strains and fermentation tanks to improve the biotransformation efficiency and achieve industrialization.
